Theatre
The Bella Rose Arts Centre offers a 600 seat theatre. Seat removal is available to accommodate for extra floor space or to provide additional accessibility seating.
Additional Spaces
Lobby and Cafeteria
The lobby set up can be provided based on your events needs. Costs are included for basic needs and negotiable for extra use.
The space can be split and available for rehearsal, general seating, meals and more.
A Performance Set Up is available for events that would like their audience to be able to enjoy refreshments during the show. Please contact our office for additional information on this option.
Courtyard
The courtyard is located across from the theatres main entrance and open during select events. It is filled with beautiful Nova Scotia native plants and is the ideal space for audience members to take pictures or enjoy the fresh air.
Amphitheatre
Our amphitheater is located on the grounds of Halifax West High School, in front of a pond that is home to fish and wildlife.
We have future plans to develop and invigorate this space for outdoor community performances. Stay tuned for updates!
Greenroom and Additional backstage spaces
Our spacious green room is located off of stage right and home to all performers during events at the Bella Rose Arts Centre. It contains 7 make up stations with lights and is 30’x35′ in size, less a 10’x10′ private 2 piece washroom.
Depending on your events needs we have access to additional rooms in the building for cast, crew, staff rooms and more.
Technical Services
We offer both standard and advanced Technical Services Packages at the Bella Rose Arts Centre. Thanks to grants from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund and Halifax Community Grants program, we have recently upgraded our sound, lighting, video, and recording services. For more details on these services, please contact our office for our technical specifications.
If you would like to bring in a third party company for your technical services, please contact our office for regulations surrounding this.
